Going back a few years for this, because I just now watched it, but also because it had a prominent performance from a guy who deserves huge props -- Mark Strong.
He's much like Gary Oldman and Philip Seymour Hoffman were before they were well-known -- always puts in a solid, nearly genius performance, and in true chameleon fashion, he disappears into the role. You never know it's the same guy from film to film, because each character is very different (though usually villainous).
