Blurry video when sped up.

I understand the reasons why video might be blurry when making it slow motion but I'm trying to use the event velocity envelopes to speed up part of a clip. When I went to render, the sped up part appeared to have motion blur. It looks good in the preview window but blurs in export. It's not super terrible but it is annoying.

I'm shooting this in 1080 24p.

Any help is appreciated.

Right click on the event and choose Switches > Disable Resample.

Are there any other times resampling should be disabled?

usually any time you do slow motion or speed up video and when you use a clip with a different framerate than the one in the project (example: a 29.970fps clip in a 23.976fps timeline)

Disable when converting frame rates.

Disable when rendering 24p material as 60i or 60p.

Interesting. Is there any benefit/disadvantage to Disable Resample when doing a simple playback of e.g 200% or 50% when the footage frame rate and project frame rate do match?
