Right, i've been through 3 BDR drives now to solve a never ending problem.
The problem:
I am using Windows 7 and IMG Burn.
I can use IMG Burn to burn a wedding film. Once it's finished burning at 4x I can't repeat the process and burn another copy. The drive will refuse to READ / WRITE ANY BLU RAY disc. Blank or full. The drive will just sit their idle, trying to do the initial read where it detects media in the drive and feels like it's just looping itself.
I can however, continue burning DVDRs/CDRs etc.
To solve the problem, it is an absolute mystery ... I have some times got it working by restarting the PC several times or by completely switching PC off and on. Or by opening PowerDVD whilst running IMGBurn. These solutions do not always work, but I might get lucky and it works.
The drive I am using at the moment is a ASUS BW-16DH1T prior to that I was using 2 different LG models (forgot the model numbers). All drives were/are brand new from Amazon. The 2 LG drives were sold due to this problem, but in truth, I bet there really wasn't even a problem other than some sort of software issue.
Any help ?
