I'd love to hear what happened... Filmat, did you get charged?
I actually bought one but switched my purchase towards an Alzo800, could have been on the same boat.
 
I can't believe anyone could lose money in this day and age. My credit card company has protected me in the very few times that I had a problem like this one. They have to prove they shipped something to you to be able to keep the charge if you dispute it. Of course, Paypal would be another issue. No protection there at all.
 
Yea, good point. How's it coming Richard. Any threads I should read up on to see what u r up to? I haven't been around for over a month.

We're progressing on that pretty well. Hope to have a 150w CMH fresnel, 575w par and a 1200w par.

Also, I'm preparing an "Ultimate Softbox Design Thread" too which I want some people to participate in soon. Should give people a chance to rethink the whole softbox idea and redo it where it's weak.

We're still working on the dimming versions of our lights and should have some other things there too but won't be till sometime this summer so we can get everything in one big shipment.

filmat11 any word yet o0n the lights youve ordered, i thought image west had been around for a while with a good rep. but i may be wrong, seems from this post they maight as well be a crookland shop/

I decided to chance it and I ordered two of the Bluelines, a 650w and 1000w with barndoors. They have already shipped and will be here, according to FedEx, either Thurs or Fri. I will post pics and my opinion of them once they arrive if anyone is still interested.

Sweet! I have high hopes for these... please do post shots, possibly straight out of the HVX if the bulbs are included. I am sure you will get your money's worth, and I feel it will just be a matter of how much past that you get.
 
yea, lol, but I guess they really meant that "good things don't come easy" thing
I am broke as hell but I could really use a hard point light...

Alright the lights came in today and I must say that I am quite pleased with them. I am leaving in the morning on a trip so I don’t have time to get any screen grabs or try them out really. They seem very well put together and the body is exactly like an Arri. The focus knob is smooth and you can get a good look at the interior of the fixture from the pics. When I called I talked to Stan and since I didn’t need the stands he reduced the price accordingly. They came with barndoors and bulbs for each. He also threw in a pack of those cheap gels that are always on ebay. I’m not exactly a lighting expert yet so if you want to know something specific just ask. The last picture is the only shot of the 1000w.

Wow. that looks awesome. very impressive. I wonder how good the color balance is on those bulbs...
 
Just from appearances they look like they have a very cool color temp. The picture I posted is not a good representation at all, its a very warm tan colored wall to begin with.
