Bluegrass Documentary In The Works

Hey all, not sure how many bluegrass fans there are in the DVX User netherworld, but wanted to shamelessly throw out two clips Im working on for a film called "Pick A String"-About a place called Everett's Music Barn-a farmhouse and barn here in Georgia that's hosted bluegrass jams and concerts every Saturday since 1970. It's a great place, you Atlanta DVXUsers should give it a try. It's my first independent project, so we're still working out wrinkles, but it's coming along, slowly but surely!

I've played banjo since I was 9...and no, I'm not saying how many years it's been (too many!).

I'm a clawhammer (frailing) player, but love the bluegrass too. Looks like a very interesting piece and I'd like to see it when you're done. Please keep us posted.
Nice work!

awesome.. there is a similar place about 10 minutes from me. it started in his barn and the guy had to add on cause there were too many people coming. this isnt in west Georgia is it?

JONJON-
It's actually in Suwanee, GA-It's called Everett's Music Barn. They started out in the farmhouse, which then got to be too small for all the people coming, and they had to build the barn....that the place you're referring to?

hey atlc, this place is in Tallapoosa, GA. Its about 50 miles west of atlanta. last exit before you get to Alabama. When I read your post, it sounded alot like it. I'm not sure if its been going on for 30 years though.

When I was doing my Guitar website, I found a guy who was doing the same thing on his porch. Every weekend, he had folks from all over come jam some blue grass and old timey harmony. He's been at it for close to 20 years or so.
