Blue Line Case

I'm looking at getting the AKG CK93. However, nowhere does it say it comes with a case. So, do the blue line mics come with a case?

You may want to check out the AT4053b. The CK93's is the only decent cap out of all the choices you get, so the shotgun cap isn't too good. The AT4053 sounds better, and isn't much more AND it has a case. The CK93 is reported to be susceptible to humidity too, which will blow a shoot. Search both mics on this forum. There's plenty of info.

Yup, They come with a case. I haven't noticed that it is more susceptible to humidity than a schoeps. Both don't like the damp. But a hair dryer works.

Thanks, I'm trying to decide between the CK93 and the AT4053. The case would have been the deciding factor, but now I have to do more research.

You would serously base your decision on a case? Any small pouch should suffice. I've used the ck93 as our main mic in all conditions with no issues.

I take my mic out of it's case and keep it in a compartment in my bag. I'd rather have a padded pouch than a case.

The decision of which mic to buy should be made based on sound quality. And the AT4053b sounds better. "Add to cart" and it goes for 500.00 at B&H. Bam.

Of course sound quality is more important, but I've listened to both and would be reasonably happy with either (though I'd prefer the AT4053b). The real attractiveness of the CK93 at the time was the price (I could have just afforded it right away), and having to obtain a separate case would put me over my available budget. But thanks to some unexpected expenses, I can't afford it right now so I'll have to wait a little while longer and get the AT4053b.

I think now the AKG is 429.00 when you add to cart at B&H, and the AT4053b is 498.00. If there's only a 100.00 difference on 2 items I'll definitely wait for the better one!
