blue gun only on external monitors

Looking at external monitors I want to spend around $600 bucks. How important is it to have blue gun only? Thanks I tried the used route spent 275 dollars and the monitor is crap the colors stink.

Or you can just use DV rack. :D I bet you could also use DV rack to calibrate your monitor. Just output it through your camera and to the monitor and then use the calibration tools in DV rack to calibrate the monitor. It seems like that should work.

Thats a idea I have dv rack :) Any thoughts on this

Just be sure that you are using the monitor controls (except for the blue gun only) not the Dv rack controls when calibrating the monitor.
