Blue/Green Chroma Key

Hi all,

I am looking at getting all the requirement for doing keying. I got a HVX200 camera and that is about it.

Now, what would be required ? Blue or Green ? (people say blue is better, but DV compression doesn't take blue as good as green. but in DVCPRO 50 I wouldn't have much of a problem ? So am I better with blue ?

Now what type of screen, stand, lightning ? I am not looking for the most expensive, and not at the cheapest.

Also, what light should I get to light my subject also indoor ?

there's also a real concern about blue screen- People tend to wear a lot more blue clothes than sharp green ones- except for 80'ies Madonna's and Cindy Laupers..

You should Use Blue for anything Film and Green for anything Digital. It is just the way the camera picks up. Well I just made a green screen set in my grauge big enought to park cars in front of with drywall and paint for about $40 Bucks so thats not bad.

Use green. Light your green screen with bright even lighting- Flo's work great. Light your subject to match what ever insert you are going to use.
