Blu-ray recording Process?

Can someone explain how I go about to record P2 HD footage (720p 0r 1080i) for output to Blu-ray discs? What would be a good external Blu-ray burner to invest in and what version in FCP would I have to use?
I would appreciate if someone could explain the most simple and affordable process to achieve this. Thanks/ bean

Despite their apparent membership in the Bluray forum, Apple has not addressed Bluray in anyway. HD-DVD capability was added to DVD Studio and the OS DVD Player has a vague option for high definition...but there is currently no official Final Cut Studio support for the format. Toast burning software however will do this (with an overpriced third party BD drive for your Mac), but I don't know kind of quality you are going to get and what driver compatibility issues you will run into.

here is a link to said overpriced drive:

This article touts the abilities of Adobe's Encore, but obviously buying into Adobe's video suite would not be affordable (and probably not simple if you aren't familiar with their software).

The new external LG blu ray burner, the new one that does 6x, and costs like 200 bucks works on mac, it's not meant to and you can only burn data discs, but still.
