Blown Onboard Mic / Rode NTG-1 Help

So my camera got splashed a few months back and the on board mic hasn't worked since.. I recently purchased a Rode NTG-1 mic and it isn't picking up any audio either. I've tried both inputs and still nothing. I have the mic plugged into Input 2. Set on Mic. I've tried every possible variation with the Ch 1 and 2 selections on the inside of the LCD. I've toggled between -50db and -60b in the recording setup. Still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

BTW, this is a DVX100A with 250 hrs and I now have a rain cover to avoid further water damage.

The two switches on the inside of the LCD that say Mic Power 48v? Yes I tried those, I was wondering if there was something in the menu I didn't know about. When I have the onboard mic turned on and I clap, the mic still picks up high spikes, but when I hook up the shotgun, nothing.

Anyone else have any ideas? I want to try anything I can before I start looking for a new camera.
