Blow up quality

Has somebody already made a blow up of a DVX100 video to film? How is the quality? Can the spectator in the cinema see, that the film originally was shot on video?

Re: Blow up quality

I've blown DVX footage up to film, and the quality ranged from "eh" to "spectacular", depending on where you're sitting in the theater. There was a long thread on this posted here about a year ago, so for pages and pages of details, try looking that up.

From the 6th row, I thought it was borderline acceptable as film footage. From the back of the theater, I'd argue that 95% of the audience would never know it wasn't film in the first place.

Barry, while the info may be in thread, just one question: How large was the screen/image ?

We were in a 200-seat theater, so the screen wasn't overly large. It's been about a year so I don't remember the exact details, I'm sure it was at least 20 feet wide.
