Just saw a preview screening of Blood and Chocolate - the new werewolf movie that comes out tomorrow.

It's based off of a bestseller book by the same name. Haven't read the book, but I feel the movie fails on way to many levels, and isn't worth the price of admission(plus everyone should be seeing Smokin' Aces this weekend anyways!!)

I don't want to bash the film, but it was pretty basic same old same old story. The cgi was really weak. And the biggest problem was once they became werewolves aka just plain old wolves, they were way less of a threat than when they were in human form.

I want my werewolf movies to have teeth, but this was toothless(metaphorically speaking).

And I personally at this point will not go see anymore movies that sport the quote "From the(or a) Producer of Underworld".

I always try to not judge a book by its cover, but the name alone would convince me not to see this film.

I remember when the trailer came on a few months ago, and when the movie guy voice said "Blood & Chocolate", everyone in the theatre started laughing.

I caught a preview last night too and while there were some glaring weaknesses, like that pos unbelievable love development montage and a couple terrible lines of dialogue, I thought the film mostly worked. I thought the two leads were decent, I actually liked that the film didn't have an overblown cgi transformation. My main problem with the cgi was that it lingered on it. I like cgi when it's in the background and not turning in slowmotion in the air. When cgi is made the focus of a scene it almost always disappoints me. I think the love story should've been developed more and this film would've been better with more character development. I've seen much much worse than this film though.
