Blocking the edited

I'm editing on the Vegas Pro 8a. My film has some flash backs and I want to be able to edit them in a block and not have them come apart when I move other scenes around in my time line. It is too easy to just click on the wrong scene and undo hours of editing time. I hope this made some sense.

Use the selection tool and 'g' for 'group' - then the media will remain as one group - you can hit 'u' for 'ungroup' if you need to work with those assets individually.

Another option is to edit the flash backs as their own projects and import those .veg files into your master timeline.

No, u will not lose any resolution. Its not like a rerender or something. Its the equivalent of running 2 project files but from within the same timeline.
