Blindness

i didnt see who the writer was.. But this sounds a lot like the book "Blindness" by jose saramago. curious as to if this idea was stolen or adopted?

Well if it has the same title and idea, my guess is it's an adaptation. If they stole the idea they wouldn't take the same name.

Then again, who knows.
 
It IS an adaptation of aclaimed portuguese writer jose saramago's work. I think brazilian director Fernando Meireles is super talented and this film will be great.
 
I thought it was a pretty powerful film. The cinematography is amazing in it and I thought it did a pretty good job keeping true to Saramago's story.

They may have cut it down, but that's exactly what they should have done...you know, you can't always have everything in the movie that was in the book...Never really works like that.

So yeah, definitely worth seeing. It's a pretty intense film though.
 
I thought it was pretty good, not quite great. It didn't have the kind of impact on me that the book had, and I think this had a lot to do with the score. The music was so light in places where I felt it needed to be dark... it was just too playful and really set the wrong tone, IMHO.
