Blinding two shots...Help

How do I blend two shots without any quality loss, Like if I want someone to come in from the right, then the same person come in from the left, talk to each other ya know, how do I do this with out quality loss, or them looking like shadows.....

Put the camera on a tripod. Lock it off. Have the actor do one side (avoid crossing to the other side, even with shadows)
Now shoot the actor on the other side.
Layer the two shots and use the 4 point matte to make a split that reveals one side over the other side.
