Blender anyone? What can I do with this?

Found an old article. I was googling and saw that Blender was used for previz work on Spiderman 2. Pretty cool for a free piece of software.

Blender is actually a very powerful tool. It has features that you only find in expensive software packages. I've used it here and there. Go through all the tutorials. That's really the only way to learn it. It's absolutely not a program you can sit down and figure out on your own! Overall a very impressive piece of software.

And even though the interface is unique, a lot of what you learn with Blender can be applied to Lightwave, 3DSMax, and the other 3D programs out there.
