Blank DVD-R?

What is the blank DVD-R's of choice here? I have been told to get the ones that have a purple color on the bottom of the disc. I have not had any problems with those as of yet. Just curious to see what others are using.

Re: Blank DVD-R?

I been using Ridata G04 disks for about 2 years for video projects. They work great and are inexpensive.

For master copies, I choose Maxell DVD-R for mastering. They come in an orange box and cost more. heres a datasheet on them:

Stay away from princo.

Re: Blank DVD-R?

Shiny silver won't be. White matte might be, but might not. It needs to be able to soak in the inks.

Re: Blank DVD-R?

The only ones I use after many trial and errors are the Apple DVD-R'S they have the least problems. You get what you pay for remember that when your buying DVD'S
