One thing to really take note of is that the user can select between rolling and global shutter.

S16 sensor, 13 stops DR, MFT mount, global shutter -- excellent upgrade from GoPro.

[Simon Shasha]

Definitely! I wonder what kind of DR hit there is when using the global shutter?

Not enough to make me wish for a GoPro!

What (relatively) cheap drones can fly this? Or will this still need larger and more expensive drones that are capable of flying a GH4, for example?

Haha, indeed!

I'm actually not wanting this for a GoPro replacement though - I want to pair it with the new Blackmagic 5" screen, or even more Shogun, and use it as a handheld camera.

I thought this little camera could only record 1920x1080? But B&H lists a 4K version for $1295?

It is a similar model, but without in-camera recording. You'll need a SDI recorder (HDMI is there but only for monitoring).
