Does anyone here use the Blackmagic Decklink Extreme HD? I just bought one, should be here tomorrow. I need a good way to get quality video to my BetaSP deck for broadcast and I liked the HDMI I/O that decklink offers.

Anything I should watch out for before I set this up?

It's dope but best to ask after you have a chance to play with it. If you're planning to try uncompressed HD or a lot of ProRes HQ, it's worth stepping up to a fast RAID.

hi, sorry to resurrect this dead thread, but i have a question about a decklink hd extreme that i'm bidding on on eBay.

the current bid is $500, and I placed that before realizing that there was a model of the decklink extreme HD that did not have HDMI. unfortunately, i'm bidding on that model. the good news is that I don't need it because I don't have a TV with HDMI or a camera that outputs through it. the description said to get specs from the blackmagic web site, and the HDMI model is the only HD extreme they have any information about.

my question is whether or not this card is still going to be worth $500 or if i should try to retract my bid.
