I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this topic, but I'll give it a shot.
Whenever I have tried to shoot night exterior shots, I have noticed there are noticable black horizontal "lines" (much darker than the ambient darkness). This occurs mostly beside small lights in the frame, such as car headlights, street lights and lights emanating from buildings.
I have displayed it on several different monitors, and the lines are always there. They run from the source of the light all the way to the end of the frame on both sides.
Does anyone know anything about this? I can remove the lines in photoshop, but it is a pain in the @ss. I have thought about crushing the blacks, but I would rather get rid of the problem at the source if possible.
Any insight would be muy appreciated. Thanks for the sympathetic ear--and keeping those infamous smart-@ss comments to yourself!
