Black Promist filters

Hi,
pardon me for being stupid when i ask this. What do black promist filters do to your image and is it advisable to use black promist filters when shooting night scenes on the dvx in order to make the blacks look better?

The pro mists basically "soften" your image. You can't really describe such visual things accurately in words, so I would recommend getting hold of several different filter variations and testing them to see what gives the required look for you.

No mist filters will really make your picture blacker. Black promists simply don't glow as much as white promists.
