Black Pro Mist 3 filters?

Thinking of purchasing the Black Pro Mist 3 filter for the cam. Heard that this was a good one for helping the film look... Have only seen sample pictures from Tiffen. Need more info to decide if it's something I really want. That's where you insightful folks come in. I'm sure some of you own it, or have used it, so please advise.

If any sreen grabs/clips on here are shot with it let me know which ones please.

Thanks.

Re: Black Pro Mist 3 filters?

I'd order the filter demo from this site before investing too much on filters. I haven't played with the Black Pro Mist 3, but I've heard it is way too strong of an effect for most uses on this camera. If I was going to buy a Black Pro Mist, I would get one that has a much more subtle effect.

Best of luck,

Everdene

yes.. when we shot the filter tests DVD we had no idea that Black promists would looks so bad. and a 3 power would be pretty severe.. Unless your doing a really sappy wedding segment I would stay away.

Re: Black Pro Mist 3 filters?

So, if I was to pick up one filter above all filters, what should I be getting, and I'm asking directly, not a "depends on what you are looking for", what would you buy?

Re: Black Pro Mist 3 filters?

Since the camera already has some built in NDs, I would buy a Polarizer.

Re: Black Pro Mist 3 filters?

1 filter only? well a HMC UV would be it... but that is a lame answer. Polarizer is another good one, but that is a little boring.

To me, the Antique Suede is the filter of the year.. I love the color it adds without being too much.
