I am currently running a Mac Quad-core, 4GB ram, FCP Studio, and using two DVX-100A's. I always shoot in 24p, but clearly, not in HD. I am considering using the Firestore drives so that I do not have to spend time capturing anymore. That said, is there an advantage to also getting the Black Magic Decklink SP PCE-e model? I see that it helps with RT effects, and seems to give a better output for external monitoring. I am currently using a JVC color professional monitor. I don't mind spending the money for the better rendering and processing speeds as well as a clearer output. Can anyone confirm my expectations of this card? And, is there something else I may be missing?
