My brother brought for me 2 weeks ago, when he was in US, but only yesterday I watched it in a large tv (LG plasma 42").
I think the Crowes are awesome, but I have to admit I didn´t the like the DVD too much, a lot cause of the image quality. It looked like bad video (60i! why not 24p?), with too much detail -- some halos around it -- and and a lot of noise sometimes. Anyone knows which camera they used? They claim the concert was shot on high def, but what high def cam they should have used to create an image with so poor latitude, among other problems?
There´s a bonus with scenes of them on tour (kate hudson dressed like a female black crowe is bizarre -- did she dress like that before meeting chris robinson?). They probably used a small DV camera (pd, dvx100?) and faked a super 8 effect that was horrible. It kept me thinking: "my god, these guys can´t buy an old super 8 cam and some stock instead of doing THIS??".
Bad to know that one of the best bands in the world released such poor quality meterial.
