Bitrate difference?

I'm so sorry for starting so many posts around here, but the search function on the site isn't giving me any answers...so...

I shot some footage on the DVX100 in 24pA thin resolution, etc etc. All the same settings, but some was directly to hard drive and some on tape.

In FCP, I was scanning through the bitrates of all the clips. Almost all of them were 2.9mb per second.

However, two of the clips said 2.7mb per second, and another said 2.8mb per second. All 3 of these clips were from direct to hard drive capture. I noticed no difference in the quality, but was just wondering what this means?

What about frame rates, resolutions, etc? As long as those are the same you should be fine. A couple of hundred KB doesn't mean much so I wouldn't stress.

All the frame rates and rez are the same, I'm just wondering why that would happen? It's so strange.

Like I said- don't stress. Bitrates occasionally vary and that is a tiny variance.

As you may have guessed, I've been stressing about every little detail and mistake to the point that I literally might have an ulcer.

As Noah said, don't worry about it. You even said you can't see any difference in quality, so I'm not sure what the big deal is.

Sometimes things look one way on one display and one way on another, better display. Even the slightest loss in quality is important to me.
