BITC DVDs

Hello all.

I am trying to make BITC DVDs of my rushes for a documentary project. I've been using the timecode video filter, exporting as a quicktime, then importing as an asset to DVD studio, whereupon the file is re-encoded to burn to DVD.

I am hoping someone can tell me how to skip one of these steps - i.e. exporting directly from FCP to some kind of format that doesn't need to be re-encoded for DVD.

Maybe this is really obvious, maybe it can't be done. Either way your help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You could add your timecode filter, then just export it to mpeg2 using compressor. That would kip the step of exporting quicktimes. The resulting video and audio files can be imported into DVD Studio pro as an asset with no further compression.
