Are you planning to attend the upcoming one Andrew?

Turns out the ASC website was wrong. The lighting at night seminar is actually going to be outside at night NEXT week. Today was this event which was posted correctly on the Birns & Sawyer website:

Final Cut Pro Seminar
10/15/08 6pm

Presented by Lowell Kay

With today’s data centric workflows, it is more important to understand how to move your data from one location to the next. This seminar will expose you to correct methods of how to capture, transport, copy and store your digital media files.

We will cover P2, RED, Viper and F23 systems and the data requirements for each. No camera system is exactly the same and this will help you make better decisions as to what to purchase or rent on your next project.
The seminar wasn't bad, but I apologize if anyone here who went looking for a lighting seminar. The ASC website was misinformed. Oh well!

Awesome, dcarstens it will be nice to meet you! I really like your work. By the way, I did not know you could use the checkout function to rsvp, very unique. Thanks for the link! I rsvp by telephone, the receptionist is very keen. (323-466-8211)

P.S: for anyone that is going, it is not being held at the normal location on DeLongpre, but at their lighting and grip rental building at 5275 Craner Avenue North Hollywood, CA 91601. This is a free night lighting seminar, held outside with actual lighting demonstration. Very cool! Hope to see more DVXusers out there. Birns and Sawyer have quite the rental facility when it comes to Panasonic cameras. I was just there last night (for the aforementioned tapeless workflow seminar) and got to play around with the 170. Fun stuff.

Look forward to seeing you there too, RPO. I took a look at your site and saw Angelo Pacifici's site on your links page- he was one of my cinematography professors at USC and one of my favs! I simultaneously screwed up and consequently learned more from his class than most any other.
