big white room - now what?

I was forced to shoot in a very white-walled room on HD and as you can imagine, everything is kind've bright. I'd like to bring it down a little. Any color correcting suggestions on how I should go about doing this?

The short is a guy wakes up after a long night of drinking to the sun BLARING through the window. So the brightness kind of works. Just not super-brightness.

Your best bet is to test some of the 'Image Control' Video filters. You've got your brightness and contrast in there; that'd be a good place to start. Drop some of the brightness down and bring some of the contrast up... Or you can play with the 'Levels' and adjust the input and output tolerance. Try some of the other filters in there as well and experiment. In my experience, experimenting with all the different filters has often taken me to the desired result.
