I was going to go with a 32 inch Sharp Aquos, but I just ordered this computer monitor that straddles the line between monitor and television.

I don't have the apartment space for a huge tv so 24 in my room is perfect.

SO many vaiables to consider. Sigh.

and then you read where the "70mm" digital projectors in theaters have contrast ratios of 500:1, which just totally messes you up.

Yeah, people obsess about black levels, but go to a movie theater and you'll see blacks aren't really black, they are slightly washed out by reflections from the crowd.

picked up a couple Olevia 32" 232v's. Happy with them

I love my Sharp LCD. It looks great and has HDMI and component connections. My PS3 Blueray disc look great on it. And the gaming looks great also.
