BIG Lasers

Im going to be making a DVD for a laser company in my area. They cut big pieces of metal with big million dollar laser cutting machines. Will it be safe to shoot these things in action, from a distance mind you.
Thanks

Luke

I also worried about doing shots of arc-welding (using BIG industrial welders). I did them anyway, and never noticed any problems afterwards.

Anyone know for sure? I have more welding videos coming up, and this time the camera isn't a rental!

Hey, if it worked for you than i don't see why this would be any different. It would be nice to know for sure though. Anybody?
Thanks

Luke

I shot days and days of welding footage for a 4x4 show I do and have never had a prob with the dvx after. So I would think it is all good. But I can't say for curten

Maybe it would be good to shoot with a filter? I think if you use your ND's you would be ok, so long as you don't expose it to the laser for too long. Someone on here once said to treat your CCD like you would your own eyes....hope that helps....
