Just odd. See screen grab below.

I was going through a King Crimson song list looking for something.
Here's what came up.

What's interesting is that:

a) Talking Heads. Yep, I had previously searched for that because it came up in one of Batutta's threads. And there it is.

b) Go-Asia, more on that in the next blurb.

c) Bill Bruford. Also was a member of Asia. I had also googled Bill Bruford because of his relation to King Crimson and I also came across a youtube post that was the band UK but not listed as such.(Off point now)

Point is, I typed in 'King Crimson Dig Me."
And look what I got. My f'n search history.

Now, yeah, I've had a few beer, but I REMEMBER what I've been looking for in the past 10 minutes.

Thanks Google. What would I ever do without you? You predatory f*.
(Last line put in for personal laughs.)

But I mean really. What gives?

Interim (1975-1980)

Following the assembly of USA, the band went their separate ways. While McDonald joined Foreigner, Wetton would have stints in Roxy Music and Uriah Heep before reuniting with Bruford in UK and eventually becoming frontman for Asia. Before and after his UK stint, Bruford would play with his own jazz-fusion band, also called Bruford, and drummed for Genesis on their first post-Peter Gabriel tour.
Fripp, meanwhile, would toy with the idea of going into the priesthood but would ultimately opt to become a “small, mobile intelligent unit” and embrace a solo career which saw him move to New York City, where he would collaborate with Brian Eno, Blondie, Talking Heads,

I learn something new everyday.

:nads: I'll time myself out on this one. :bath:

I agree Kirk. They do tend to make an otherwise normally un-paranoid person somewhat cautious.

//Pookie. Hahaha. True.

Even though, in this case, your search queries were related some how, Google does remember every search you make and every move you make. It's a well known fact. The cookie they place on your computer keeps a profile about each visitor to its websites. Where they have been, where they are going, and what they are searching.

Here's some nice reading about Google.

there is no need to use a 'web browser' to 'view' web pages.

I sometimes use telnet (WGET it better, can use it to pipe to text file);

try it yourself (windows XP):

click on start and then the run icon.

type in:

cmd

this should bring up the DOS Command Console.

type: in

telnet ww.google.com 80

You can see the cookie request to your pc, shame the server(s) then disconnect.

I use google's search engine and like some of their products. But I think it was in a Playboy interview a couple of years ago that I first read about their company and their motto. Anyone who's motto is 'Don't be evil' is clearly bent on world domination. I'm serious :D. I can't believe anyone could say that seriously as a corporate motto.

I'm putting five bucks on that within five years they'll have gone from "Where do you want to go today" to "This is where you'll want to go today."

You're better off using netcat. ;)
