BEWARE of BrandonWerlin Brandon Werlin if your selling gear

Congratulations. Would love to hear what information Paypal took into account and how they dealt with you, for future reference. For example did they accept Brandon's flickr feed as evidence in your favor (I'd be surprised if they did)? In my experience Paypal is (rather has lately become) quite biased towards buyers, who always have the benefit of doubt and can make all sorts of subjective or downright bogus excuses to have your funds withheld and to send stuff back.

Paypal didn't state what evidence they used. I believe the fact that he was trying to sell the lens on ebay and posted pictures of the lens in perfect condition pretty much explained it pretty clearly but that is only my opinion.

Its ugly out there, its not uncommon for some 'buyers' to receive a perfectly good item as described and then substitute it for a defective item. Then they attempt to seek a refund from the seller claiming the item was defective. I photograph everything, every distinguishing mark and serial number on an item.

Good luck, I have always found Paypal to be pretty good thou at resolving these things.
