Better with or without the flipper?

I have Redrock and MicroX flipper... I now have HMC150 and it has built-in LCD flipper.

After I add Mattebox and Follow Focus, the whole rig is pretty heavy... I thought if I lose the flipper, it would be light.

Beside the fact that I need to flip the image in the post... do you think without flipper is better in quality-wise?

What do you guys prefer?

you get virtually the same image, but you will end up getting a monitor at some point and you have built in flip so dont bother

At least in theory image quality must be better without the flip module. Less glass (or any unnecessary optical element) light meets on its' way - less light loss, better overall image. I'd lose the flip if it's not too much bother flipping it in post.

I dunno if it works the same for the red rock, but I used to own a Brevis and when I bought the flip unit I saw that it increased the edge to edge sharpness to a noticeable degree.
