Better Than 35mm

I dunno about better than 35mm, I like films real look a CGI yes cool looking dosnt give the image of rawness that computer generated seems to give off, it feels like Im watching a commercial for like Anne Frank the computer game.
 
Wow, it feels really different when youve actually been to the Anne Frank House and now just watched this trailor.

They had a fancy toilet I must say, reeeal fancy
 
err.. what exactly was so special about that?

Other than the subject matter nothing really made this standout..

I thought Final Flight of the Osiris has better looking CGI.
 
So, they're taking the actual images of dead people and animating them?

Something feels wrong about that. I'm not sure what, but something.

BTW, I'm increasingly hostile to overdone CGI. There's something soulless about it.
 
Really? I thought that looked shitty. Animation is mainly about broad strokes, not the nuance of a barely moving face. Realistic characters always ends up feeling stiff and boring (ie: final fantasy etc.) Good CG = The incredibles etc. Broad strokes. They have their moments of subtlety, but if you don't use what animation is best at, why animate it?

I have no idea who green lighted an anne frank movie done in CG, that feels weird to me.
 
I don't think you should have mentioned it was CGI, to see how many people catch it.

I watched it twice. The second time through, it wasn't as real-looking... but still, this is pretty neat.

I share this opinion too.

And the sepia color doesn't help...

Impressive work in an area where you don't wait CGI.
 
Is this pure CGI or motion capture driven CGI?

Regardless, I do not look forward to a future where real actors are replaced with generated ones.
 
yeach, the girl doesn't look real, but outdoor shot??? - hard to say... it is or it isn't, now we know it is cgi, but I would never guess if I didn't know from beginning.

second thing is that fake picture shaking, is that supose to look like hand shooting? WHYYY???? to make it look real? stupid .
anyway I would like to see all picture.

Reminds me of the line from The Producer: We've found a way to get rid of the writers, now if we could only get ride of the actors.

I'm sure the video game generation can't wait. Shoot me now.
