When exporting video from how can i get a higher quality flash file when then converting with Flash Video Encoder?
right now im using

Quicktime Compression
640 x 360 (from 960 x 720)
h264.

Then in Flash Video Encoder
i keep it at 640 x 360
bit rate is 700

It looks OK for the small file size but i really want the quality to be closer to what i see in the full rez quicktime.

thanks!

Remember: garbage in, Garbage out.

Quicktime's implementation of their h.264 encoder is garbage comapred to other H.264 encoders out there.

It sounds like you shot DVCProHD, so just export a DVCProHD Quicktime file out of your editor. Flash video encoder can read MOV files. That way the flash video encoder will be encoding from a file that is the source, instead of a crappy representation of the source.

If you're using Adobe Premiere, you can skip the intermediary step and just encode Flash video right out of the timeline.
