Howdy all,
I am a film student here in KC. A bunch of us are showing some short films we did at the art house theatre here. Can people give me their pointers/workflow to get the best quality print on mini DV to be shown on the big theatre screen?
Is it worth using a program like photozoom to uprezz? That's probably not worth it if it's going back to miniDV, right? As of now I've cropped for widescreen from inside vegas, exported as NTSC DV widescreen .avi and printed that to tape. Is that my best option?
Also, I don't mind grain much, but I think it's going to be super grainy when it really gets blown up... are there any tricks for smoothing out some of that grain? Just using the standard noise tools in AE?
Thanks for any advice!
(I searched for this, but didn't find anything...if someone knows it has been spoken of before and knows where to point me, I'm happy to read prior posts on the topic.)
