Best wireless at higher cost to avoid RF hits

Your units might be defective. I have a G3 A band, and G band that were getting awful range (seriously not even 10-15 feet without random RF hits) I tested them against another G3 set that worked fine. They are headed back to Sennheiser for repair.

2. The transmitter is on the talent's body in a way that absorbs most of the RF. Be careful with transmitter placement. Try to position the transmitter so that the antenna points down and away from the body, instead of touching skin. A nice feature of the G2/G3 transmitters is the reversible wire clip.

That sounds like a great suggestion. I have already inverted the transmitter, and it really does keep the antenna away from the body. I have also raised the height of the receiver, making more of a line of sight path, and made the transmitter signal stronger. I will follow up with how well these changes are working!

I tried making these changes today, no frequency change, and had no RF hits or signal loss resulting in static. I think inverting the transmitter, getting full signal on transmit, and raising the receiver (only about 3" above previous position) seems to have done the trick. Thanks everybody for all the great suggestions!
