You guys know of a cost effective way to share video with specific users over the Internet? Say a friend of mine in NYC wants to see my rough cut. I can compress an MPEG-4 file, but short of emailing it to him (giant file size), I can only imagine the best way is to upload it to someplace and stream it to him. Is there a service like this without setting up a whole domain name?

Other options: www.megaupload.com (250MB max) and www.filefactory.com (500MB max)

You could also create a torrent, send him the tiny torrent file, and have him get it from you that way (P2P)... but that might get complicated.

You could run an FTP server on your computer (like FileZilla) and have your friend FTP into your system to download the file.

Awesome. Thanks. I'm gonna try these upload sites like megaupload and yousendit. Barring that, I"ll try FileZilla. Never heard of any of these before. So your advice is very very helpful. Cheers.
