hello.

does anyone have a pdf form for logging footage?

or any other way for logging footage that they think is very helpful?

its not a premiere specific question but there are no msg areas for editing...

i am tempted to just make my own form as a pdf that you can type into fields.

then just sit there with a laptop while i watch the footage and take notes and hopefully just make checkboxes for commong things to speed things up.

there was a PA who was to take notes and log shots but i don't have those so i will probably have to log the footage or get someone else to do it while i edit other things.

i am using premiere pro 2.0 with hi def footage shot on a canon xl h1 but the footage was output via hd-sdi bnc so it is higher resolution the hdv because it was exported out to a recorder pre-hdv compression.

the recorder box is pretty new and very few people have ever heard of it.

it is called a wafian.

Are you able to write metadata to your files?

In my case I can use a P2 Viewer app that will do this (should I choose to).

Generally I "log info" using "description "Field in Project Window although I have never considered if it is printable or not.
