Best way to get known as filmmaker?

Was wondering, what would be the best way for a 13 year old like me to get known and popular as a filmmaker? YouTube? Film Festivals? Send work directly to studios?

Thanks :cheesy:

Create some memorable great work and promote the hell out of yourself on all of those avenues. I would avoid the "send work directly to studios" route, however.

Practice and learn how to make things properly, leveraging local friends and connections for help. People you know will be your biggest base to start with.

I would also highly recommend using your school. Make shorts to promote clubs, sports, whatever else the school has going on, and offer to cover events. That will get you known among your peers, which right now is the most important thing to do.

Shoot something well and spread it around. If you don't know how to shoot something well, hang out here and read as much as you can until you do.

Make something fun, and have fun doing it. Also, if you make it connected to Star Wars in any way it'll be seen by thousands more than if you don't.
