Hi everyone,

What's the best place/site to go through to get professional DVDs of a movie made? To run it down...I could purchase the DVD cases and have the design to the DVD case front/back and DVD itself, finished. I would need a place where I can send these designs to, and get a whole bunch of DVD case designs and DVDs laser printed with my cover and movie. Anyone have experience at a good place?

Thanks

Discmakers.com has been my manufacturer for the past 5 years. If you go this route I recommend ordering a minimun of 1,000 replicated discs. Discmakers will make them to meet the industry standard DVD specifications. Also, if you are handy you should design your own disc and DVD jacket artwork to save $$ but you must do it to thier specifications. If you don't have Adobe Illustrator to do the artwork then download the "trial" which is fully functional. Ask that a printed proof of the artwork be sent to you for approval and do not just go off the .pdf file that they email you. Be sure to read and understand their specs on how to prepare the DVD master . If this is to be retail ready then be sure to have them add a bar code on the jacket and shrink wrap packaging. I think my last order of 1,000 came out to $1.13 each including shipping and tax since they have an office in my state. A free shipping offer is currently running.

If you have never done this before then be prepared to study up or have them do everything (design, encoding etc.) but it will cost a lot more.
