Best way to get 1:85:1

I've been toying with FCP for a while, and reading forums and manuals, but somehow still haven't been able to get the following, could someone please walk me through it?

How can I export from the DVX, shot on 24P squeeze mode, to capture and then export it so I have a real nice 1:85:1 widescreen look? I've been exporthing it as anamorphic, but getting a 4:3 look nonetheless. Any hints?
 
Anamorphic IS 4:3

What are you going to... web? DVD? Full Quality? What's your delivery strategy?
DVD - leave it alone and let DVDSP handle it.
Web - QTConversion and choose OPTIONS/SIZE I like 480x270

thanks for replying,

It's going out to DVD. What is the widest screen that FCP delivers? Is it 16:9?
