Best way to edit XDCAM and DVCPRO HD in FCP

hello-

I have an upcoming project where I will be using video from both XDCAM and DVCPRO HD. I'm wondering what the best way to edit these two different sources in Final Cut Pro. Both will be shot in 720p60. Do I need to convert the XDCAM into DVCPRO HD? What's the best way to do that?

If you are using FCP 6.0 or later you will be able to edit both codecs in the same timeline. However the XDCAM footage will require a render to bring it to full quality.

If you want to convert the XDCAM to DVCPro HD, you can use Compressor and let it cook.
