Someone mentioned "30 days of night" on another post. I can't wait for that.

I'm a big vampire movie fan.

Opinions on the best vampire movies anyone?

I will say

Blade
Lost Boys
Bram Stokers Dracula
And all 7 seasons of Buffy. :)

Anyone else got any thoughts?

Re: Best Vampire Movie Ever

Nosferatu of course. Shadow of the vampire is great too.

Re: Best Vampire Movie Ever

yes a truly influential vampire movie. The original, not the Klaus Kinski version.

Re: Best Vampire Movie Ever

I love horror films in general and especially the undead variety. The ones that leap out at me are (In no particular order):

Dracula
Bram Stokers Dracula
Near Dark
Interview with the Vampire
The Lost Boys
Salems Lot
Once Bitten
Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein
Fright Night
Fright Night II
I also dig the Hammer films.

And the yet to be completed JOHN HUDSONS I Am Legend!  :D

Here is a nice list

Ah! Interview With a Vampire, awesome vampire flick.

Arc- Yea the FW Marnau kicks ass, but I like the Werner Herzog one as well.

Re: Best Vampire Movie Ever

John, you are officially my best buddy!! You like not only fright night (one of the best horror films ever made) but fright night 2 as well!! ;D

When are those swines going to release a DVD of Fright Night with some kick ass special features. Probably never. :(

Re: Best Vampire Movie Ever

Fright NIght 1 and 2 are the funnest films! William Ragsdale (I always thought he'd get bigger). What cool films!

Re: Best Vampire Movie Ever

I liked "Kindred: The Embraced" when it was on. Based on a game. I liked the vampire "clan" concept. The show toned it down somewhat and didn't have all of the clans.

I would have liked to have seen their rendition of Clan Malkavian, though.

Re: Best Vampire Movie Ever

I think we can all agree on Bram Stoker's Dracula... except for Neo... ugh...

Re: Best Vampire Movie Ever

Oh, here's one that sucked -- but was memorable because Heather Thomas gave some kind of hint that she could act: "Red Blooded American Girl."

Re: Best Vampire Movie Ever

I always wanted to see that one, but could never find it. It was bad huh?

Re: Best Vampire Movie Ever

Well, it had Andrew Stevens and Christopher Plummer. How good could it be?

Vampire by viral infection. One of the earliest "medical vampirism" movies that I can think of.

LOL !! ;D

Plummer was decent as the Klingon. :)

Re: Best Vampire Movie Ever

Not a vote for best Vampire movie ever...but my favorite vampires were from Blade 2.
The Reaper Vampires killed the normal vampires...it was a nice switch.
They went from this:
