best type of compressor for web?

Let's say I want to turn the video into flash, what codec/compressor would you suggest, I hear On2 is really good.

Always, I'm amazed how professional videosites like quicktime.com for ex. allow you to watch a a full resolution video and it only take a few minutes to load and watch. Can someone tell me how I would be able to do this for say a mov.?
 
You can create an h.264 file with aac audio in an mp4 container, and tell Flash 9 to stream it via a SWF. But that requres some flash knowhow.

Last I checked (About 2 months ago) most flash video players didn't know how to stream h.264 video without having to do some funky renaming. Also you have to modify the scripts to put in the minimum version of flash for streaming h.264

As of right now its a huge hassle, but it does have the best, most streamable results online. Just remember if the video frame size is over 640x480 they're going to need a pretty beefy pc to play it back at full speed.
