Best Teleprompter App and Remote?

Anyone have any recommendations for Teleprompter apps that can be used on tablets?

Preferably Free and has the voice recognition so that it moves the text?

Also the remote, can you use any bluetooth remote? I have seen a few game bluetooth remotes but not sure exactly what functions are used by the teleprompter apps? Does it require a joystick or just back/next buttons?

Thanks.

We used PromptSmartPro on a TV series where the main character had to Snapchat lengthy monologues. One phone feeding the prompter software, another sandwiched behind it shooting himself (so we could use Filmic Pro on the second phone). It wasn't perfect at self-scrolling but it worked well enough.

We used to use ProPrompter on iPads and iPhones all the time for network stand-ups and the like, out in the field. We all had it loaded on our phones and could control the iPad we normally used as the prompter, from the phones. They also made a bracket to hold the iPads, at one point. We had it mounted on a noga arm and flew it directly above the lens(usually touching the lens hood). I bought the half-mirror set-up and used it a few times on some down ‘n dirty corporate stuff and maybe once on a network stand-up when we were inside, but otherwise it has just sat in its case in my office collecting dust for years. At the time, I believe it was only $10 for the app.

Scrolling always used to be the thing that got everyone, so early on we found the best way was to set a good medium/quick speed and we’d just pause the scroll and release it, pause it and release it as talent read.

I just used Teleprompter Premium ($12.99 for iOS version - but it does have a free trial) with my iPad Pro and a very basic beamsplitter 15mm rail prompter on a recent job. Worked very well by setting the speed on the scroll during a rehearsal. But also allows you to use different options for bluetooth remote to pause scroll, etc. Also allows you to set a time for the script - which I can see being a useful feature for those producers who insist the talent can read their script inside 60 seconds, etc.
I was skeptical (maybe unwarranted at this stage in the game) of the speech recognition apps that scroll as talent speaks. So would like to hear if others have found that works well.
