best tape?

I have been using TDK mini dv tapes, I know they are among the worst quality tapes but I have been using them for some time without any problems. I generally use them once, and just save the footage on them and don't re-use. They are like 20 bucks for 6 tapes at costco. What I am getting at though, is that place online "www.tapeonline" a good place to buy from? Has anyone had good or bad experience with them? I need to buy some bulk 60 minute VHS tapes and I am just trying to find the best and cheapest place....

From my experience. TDKs are the worst thing you can put through that thing. I haven't run any through my DVX, but I've sure as hell seen many problems at different post houses with those.

It's like using cheap gasoline in a top of the line Ferrari. It's just up to you weather you should pay that extra 2 bucks per tape for the longevity of your $3400 camera.

oh man, thanks for the warning! I would deffinetly be willing to switch. I guess the only problem is that I have heard you sometimes run into problems when switching tape brands, and that you should stick to one kind. Do you think I would have a problem with switching to the Panasonic MQ tapes? WHats the cheapest/best place to buy say, 60 of those tapes from?
