What does everyone think I am looking into getting a jib and want one sub 500 or around the 500 range, any suggestions. I'm not great with tools or any of that stuff so buying one would be better then making one if possible.

I own the microdolly which costs a bit but my friend has the Glidecam Glidcrane 200 and I've always thought it was a great deal. smooth and cheap.

Looks great what kind of tripod does he use with it, I just want to make sure that its stable enough and can handle the weight

I use Kessler Cranes and have to say for the money they travel well and are well built. They have a tool-less option and the nice thing is you can start at a basic level and expand your system if you wish. There are often excellent deals on used full size ones on dvxuser. Kessler now make a "lite" version and you can check it out here:

They are also a sponsor of dvxuser and have a reputation for quality.
