When editing with mixed ProRes HD doc footage, is it easier to convert from 30P to 24P or 24P to 30P? What is the best method for the conversion?

This doc project is meant to go on dvd to be projected onto a cinema screen. Should I be looking at 24P as the ideal format and convert the edited 30P sequences using Phillip Bloom's frame rate conversion tutorial? Will that give the 30P material a 24P look and be consistent with the native 24P?

Easier to take 30p to 24p...to remove frames rather then add. Use COMPRESSOR.

Thanks, I have Compressor 3.5.3. Are the instructions on how to do that conversion, the same as in the above Phillip Bloom tutorial?

If he used Compressor, yes.
