I have seen nice results with conforming metadata in cinema tools on the Mac side. What would be the best way to shoot and slomo footage on a gh1 and using Vegas?
Shoot 720/60p and put the footage into a 30p or 24p project, right click the clip>Properties, then change playback speed to 40% for 24p or 50% for 30p, select disable resample. You're golden!

Can we clarify one thing. Eugenia's settings recommended selecting an actual file to setup the initial project settings. If I do so, Vegas reads and sets up a project as 59.94 or similar called double ntsc.
Do I select the file for setup so that any other properties are correct to the file but then change the frame rate to read 30p or 24p and then open the project?
What am I losing by letting it set itself to read the file data at 59.94, meaning if either way I drop it manually to a velocity of 40%, what does having 30P timeline give me?
